Brain Hack: Psychological Safety
Psychological Safety in the workplace and in remote settings!!
In order to perform at our best, collaborate with others, we need to feel relaxed in our work environment.
Any threat immediately triggers a survival response in our brains. Our brains can not distinguish between a legitimate physical threat, like a lion coming after us and a perceived threat such as your boss giving you a deadline. Both of these trigger the same response.
How we react when threatened at work varies widely. We may hold a grudge, not speak up in a meeting, not share information, interrupt others, and more.
What you need to know is
- How to increase your awareness to ascertain who is feeling distressed
- How to quickly turn this around
- How does being remote make this more complicated
I look forward to getting your feedback!
